POLYNESIAN CULTURAL CENTER OPENS HALE KU'AI LU'AU AND SPECIAL EVENTS FACILITY "We are pleased to offer our guests more options for their lu'au and dining experiences," said Von D. Orgill, PCC president and chief executive officer. "Demand for our award winning Ali'i Lu'au has necessitated this expansion. The Hale Ku'ai is the third facility we've totally renovated in the past 16 months to service our lu'au guests. The other two venues, the Hale Aloha and Hale 'Ohana, quickly reached their capacity after opening in April and December 2003 respectively. The Hale Ku'ai increases our ability to provide lu'au seating during peak periods, while creating a wonderful venue for hosting special events for groups of 100-230 people the remainder of the year." The Hale Ku'ai opened the first week of August and the guest response has been exceptionally positive. The facility welcomes guests with cool trade winds, gentle waterfalls and lush greenery, while the simple touches of woven lauhala accent the interior, and fresh floral arrangements adorn the tables. The venue is located near quaint retail shops and the front entrance museum making it readily accessible for private dining, with easy access to parking and to the "Horizons" evening show in the Pacific Theater.
